FantasyBet Review - Game Rules and Key Promo Code Information
FantasyBet are promoting themselves as the future of Daily Fantasy Football and currently offer a variety of contests on the English Premier League, Championship, La Liga and Norwegian Tippeligaen. Flexibility is the key to their innovative approach as they allow players to create their own contests in addition to participating in regular guaranteed prize pools, cash games and freerolls. You can participate in head to head contests or more classic league structured tournaments such as season long, game week or selected matches only. Contests can be made public or invite only and player lists, buy-ins, pay-out structures and field size can also be customised.

Game Rules
One of the key features of FantasyBet is the player availability options. Restrictions can be placed on which players will be eligible via the shared list, unique list or lucky list choices. In some cases there may be a cap on the number of entries allowed in a specific contest to ensure each customer gets a randomised list of 60 players to choose from. Team budget can also be capped or set to unlimited as well as the inclusion/exclusion of double points for your selected captain.
“If you do not believe you can do it then you have no chance at all.” Arsene Wenger, Manager Arsenal FC
Teams need to be submitted 5 minutes before the first fixture in the contest with the exception of Flash mode games where players have 3 minutes to complete their entries after entering the contest. Now that’s pressure! If the deadline is exceeded the entry will autocomplete based on a randomised algorithm.
For Season long contest transfers can be added which allow 1 free transfer per week which can be stored up to a maximum of 4.
Team Selection
Simply select a squad of 15 players that consists of 2 goalkeepers, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders and 3 forwards from the allocated budget (if applicable). For your starting 11 you can choose your own playing formation but it must consist of 1 goalkeeper, 3-5 defenders, 3-5 midfielders and 1-3 forwards. Substitutes can be prioritised and will be used in relation to their playing position.
“If you have at home one Bentley and one Aston Martin, if you go all day everyday in the Bentley and leave the Aston Martin in the garage you are a bit stupid.” Jose Mourinho, Manager Chelsea FC
There are some general rules for selecting players from the same club. If the contest consists of 3 or more matches then it’s capped at 3 per club. If only 2 matches are involved then 5 per club is the limit and if the contest contains just 1 match the number of players is unlimited.
Season long contests contain wildcard selections where an unlimited number of transfers can be exercised.
Competition Lobby
The competition lobby is easy to navigate and provides all the filters you will need to find your way to your preferred contests. Click into any contest to see an overview listing all the tournament details including the fixtures involved, the payout structures and all entries to date.
There are 3 main payout structures – double or nothing where 50% of the players win, winner takes all and progressive payouts. The exact payout structure for progressive contests will be determined once the contest is closed and the final number of entries are set but typically results in 20-30% of the field receiving prizes depending on how high up they finish.

Scoring System
Points are awarded based on a player's starting position and can be either positive or negative.
The criteria for accumulating points is based on playing time, attacking play, defensive duties, discipline and there are some bonus points up for grabs for the best 3 performing players in each contest.
Bonus points are awarded based on which player accumulates most performance action points in a game. The performance action scale for these additional points can be viewed on the FantasyBet website.
“There's a worry that the season could just peter out. I expected the players to know by now what they have to do to get a result away from home and sadly today they lost those basic values.” Sam Allardyce, Manager West Ham United
Summary
-
Great variety of competition types and prize structures available
-
Innovative team selection options that create a real edge to the contests
-
Game 'Tooltips' simplifies the contest selection process. Simply hover the element with your mouse to highlight key features that apply to a specific tournament.
Hopefully additional leagues will be added in the not too distant future to give customers more fantasy football betting options. We would also like to see a compare player head to head option to aid the selection process but all in all we feel this is a terrific addition to the Fantasy Football betting market and ideal for players who enjoy commissioning their own contests.
